For the fifth consecutive year, nvisionist had a strong presence at one of the most prestigious global events in wind energy: the WindEurope Technology Workshop 2025. The internationally acclaimed startup presented its multi-award-winning innovation nvbird®, along with its cutting-edge digital solutions, in Istanbul on June 19th–20th, at the iconic Hilton Istanbul Bosphorus. The company also served as an official sponsor of the event for yet another year. 

The WindEurope Technology Workshop is one of the sector’s premier gatherings, showcasing the most significant advancements and breakthroughs in wind energy technology worldwide. This year’s event focused on how the optimal assessment of wind resources, combined with enhanced wind farm analysis in Europe, can further accelerate the successful growth of wind power across the continent, as it moves steadily toward a net-zero carbon future. More than 400 industry experts from around the globe attended the WindEurope Technology Workshop 2025, sharing insights and strategies to help address the challenges facing the sector, while also contributing to the strengthening of the global wind energy technical community’s bonds. Among these key players was nvisionist, consistently ranked among the world’s top innovators in wind energy, with over 30 awards at both national and international levels. 

This year, nvisionist’s participation was more impactful than any other year, not only as an exhibitor and sponsor, but also through active participation in the event’s expert speaker sessions. On the first day of the Workshop, Lambros Argyris, International Business Development Manager at nvisionist, delivered a speech titled “Thermal Imaging for Bats & Birds Protection: Enhancing Wind Farm AEP with Smart Curtailment in Night and Low-Visibility Conditions” during the session “Curtailment for Environmental Reasons”. Mr. Argyris presented to the event’s attendees the use of thermal imaging for nighttime wildlife protection, leveraging the nvbird® technology to enable smart and selective curtailment, while simultaneously enhancing wind farm energy production (AEP). 

nvisionist’s consistent participation in the WindEurope Technology Workshop over the past five years highlights the company’s continuous contribution to innovation in the sector. In 2021, it presented nvbird® onshore, which was recognized as one of the most valuable technological solutions of that year. In 2022, it unveiled nvbird® offshore, expanding its capabilities to maritime environments. The following year, in 2023, nvisionist introduced nvbird® PaaS (Platform as a Service) providing, for the first time worldwide, the most complete and flexible platform of services, equipment and data analytics in one package, further maximizing the productivity of any wind farm. In 2024, the company advanced the technology further by presenting its innovative new approach for advanced distance detection through a single high-resolution camera (monocular approach), instead of the two cameras previously used (stereo approach), using a new algorithm that calculates the distance and size of the bird more accurately, reducing the complexity of the bird deterrence and protection system by half and increasing its efficiency.
