nvisionist in the top 10 European technology scale-ups, nominated for the Future Unicorn Award 2024

Another national success from the internationally awarded start-up, in the pan-European competition of DIGITALEUROPE nvisionist is already in the top 10

Leading start-up nvisionist was officially announced as one of the top 10 nominees for the Future Unicorn Award 2024 of DIGITALEUROPE, the annual international award that recognizes the most promising European scale-up technology companies. The winner will be announced on 21 February at Masters of Digital, the annual event of the European Digital Technology Industry Association DIGITALEUROPE, by Iliana Ivanova, European Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth.

The Future Unicorn Awards, held for the seventh consecutive year, honour scale-up companies from across Europe that have the potential to become Europe’s future tech giants. The Award is an excellent opportunity to showcase aspiring European start-ups that have the potential to become technological “unicorns”, i.e. have the potential to be valued at over €1 billion. The aim of the event is to demonstrate that Europe has what it takes to become a digital leader. Indeed, DIGITALEUROPE has set a target for Europe to double the number of its technology “unicorns” by 2030 as one of the key solutions to make Europe a digital superpower.

This year, apart from nvisionist, 9 other European companies are competing for the award. nvisionist was chosen for the robustness of its business model, its ability to attract investment and its growth potential. At the same time, it meets the criteria of utilizing innovative and “green” technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and the use of sustainable and environmentally friendly practices (CleanTech/GreenTech), in addition to being the ultimate ally for decarbonization and achieving the goal of zero emissions.

“Today, only 9% of the world’s unicorns come from Europe and only 4.5% from the EU.This is a very significant figure, especially at a time when Europe is seeking to reassert its global competitive advantage and become a digital superpower. This year’s impressive list of the most brilliant scale-ups clearly reflects the potential of European innovative minds to provide solutions and tackle the most demanding challenges. We believe that these companies have what it takes to become Europe’s next tech giant,” said Cecilia Bonefeld-Dahl, Director General of DIGITALEUROPE.

“The recognition of nvisionist as one of Europe’s top 10 technology scale-ups is a great honour for us. We are proud to represent our country in such an important and international competition, such as the Future Unicorn Award, but also to be among the elite of these global technology pioneers, belonging to the 4.5% that come from the EU and have a valuation potential of more than €1 billion”, said nvisionist’s Special Advisor, Mr. Vassilis Orfanos.
